I had the great privilege of working alongside an incredible team of creatives at Pixel Artworks, to create a projection mapping show as part of Expo 2020, on the largest projection surface on Earth, the Al Wasl dome.
The sequence went from the very micro of DNA and human cells, up and up in scale until we reached the cosmos. The image on the left is a still from the section I created - a deep-space scene with twisting nebulas, meteorite showers, and passing satellites.
For scale, I've added the image on the right to show how truly vast the dome is - 130 meters wide and 67.5 meters tall. I believe there were around 250 projectors needed to cover the surface.
